The Essentials of Access Control: Insights, Benchmarks, and Best Practices
Access control is a foundational part of any physical security strategy. ASIS undertook this research to study how organizations deployed access control systems—defined as the combination of technology and policies and procedures used to regulate access to and within facilities. The study, derived from a survey of more than 1,000 security professionals, provides benchmarks of systems in place and analyzes what technology and tactics make controlling access effective. See Security Management coverage of this research.
