Established in 1972 to honor former ASIS President and Chairman of the Board I.B. Hale, the award recognizes the most outstanding chapters in each award group.
Criteria: Submissions are evaluated on a range of criteria including: membership growth, quality of chapter programs, support of ASIS certifications and the foundation, chapter financial status, promotion of the profession in the local community, and prompt submission of chapter reports to headquarters.
Awards: The winning chapters receive a plaque and a $600 cash award. Honorable mentions receive a plaque and $300 cash award.
