Risk Assessment and Investigations Standards Released

15 September 2015

Today’s security leaders are challenged to think beyond the traditional scope of security planning and to strategically engage in achieving the business objectives of the organization. Two newly released ASIS standards offer security management professionals the knowledge and tools to take risk management and investigations to a new level of ROI.

All ASIS members are entitled to one free download of each standard and guideline—a $2,000 value!

  • ASIS/RIMS Risk Assessment - Provides guidance on developing and sustaining a coherent and effective risk assessment program including principles, managing an overall risk assessment program, and performing individual risk assessments, along with confirming the competencies of risk assessors and understanding biases.
  • ASIS Investigations - Provides guidance on establishing investigative programs as well as the conduct of individual investigations, including the competence and evaluation of investigators.

Education sessions on each of these standards and others will be presented at ASIS 2015, Sept. 28-October 1 in Anaheim.
