U.S. Military Recognizes ASIS Board Certification

The National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2016 stipulates that any credentialing program used by military activities of the Department of Defense, military construction, and the national security programs of the Department of Energy have third party accreditation and be audited. All three ASIS certification programs—Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Professional Certified Investigator (PCI), and Physical Security Professional (PSP)—are recognized under this criteria.

New CPP Exam to Launch March 2016

CPP exam domains have been modified as a result of a worldwide analysis of security management jobs. Revised domains will be reflected in updated exams that will be administered beginning March 1, 2016.

Please note: If you are scheduled to test after February 29, 2016, you will be taking the updated exam. Read FAQs.  View revised CPP domains.

ASIS International Earns ACE CREDIT Recommendation for Certification Programs

ACE CREDIT recommendations were implemented on March 2, 2015. ACE credit recommendation is a formal recommendation to colleges and universities, requesting they award college credit for certain courses, examinations, and certifications taken outside the college classroom. Earn 15 CPEs! Become an Item-Writer

The Professional Certification Board (PCB) is looking for seasoned practitioners, familiar with the domains of study, to help in the certification exam development process. Participants will have behind-the-scenes access and work one-on-one with the PCB in the development of a sound, quality-driven program. Upon successful completion of the item-writing process, practitioners will earn 15 CPEs. Find out more about participating in this rewarding experience.
