Nominating Committee Roles are defined as follows:

Each ASIS Nominating Committee (Global Board, European Regional Board, and North American Regional Board) will identify and select candidates to serve on its respective Board who meet the desired competencies and characteristics identified for the overall composition of the Board and ensure that the selection process is properly implemented as prescribed in the policies and procedures.

Nominating Committee Competencies are defined as follows:

Communication skills
Demonstrated ability and desire to listen to others. Capacity to deliver concise and clear messages.

ASIS Awareness and Knowledge
Aware of ASIS strategic goals, structure and mission and ability to translate these elements into assessment of candidate’s experience.

People Management Experience
Demonstrated interviewing and management supervisory experience.

Discretion and Discernment
Capacity to keep private confidential discussions and candidacies. Ability to critically assess strengths and weaknesses in candidates’ statements and responses.

Contacts
Through your own involvement in ASIS, broad and deep knowledge of current and emerging industry and association leaders.

Proficiency in English
Ability to read, speak, and write fluently in the English language.
