Security Management to Publish First Full Digital Edition in May

Alexandria, Va 2012-01-13

In May 2012, ASIS International’s award-winning magazine, Security Management, will publish its first digital edition. Designed exclusively for digital delivery, the new, fully-interactive format combines narrative text, videos, graphics, slide shows and expandable charts to provide greater detail and heighten the reader’s experience. A prototype sample, featuring a typical monthly “Homeland Security” department and a feature article, can be accessed online.

“Innovative electronic publishing platforms afford publishers outstanding new tools and techniques that greatly enhance and expand the delivery of news and information to readers,” stated ASIS International Vice President, Publishing, Denny White. “The digital edition marks the culmination of many months of development by our talented team of editors. We are pleased to introduce ASIS members and security practitioners worldwide to an extraordinary, rich resource for knowledge. It is an exciting journey of exploration and discovery for all.”

For ASIS members, the digital editions will offer full interactivity. A public version will also be available for nonmembers. A second digital edition is planned for November 2012 publication. Security Management will remain primarily a print publication; however, on occasion, as suitable material is available, additional digital editions will be released.

The Security Management prototype will be available online from January through April.
