The New York City Chapter of ASIS International (ASIS) will host its 21st Annual Security Expo on Thursday, May 12, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York. Registration opens at 8:00 a.m. The one-day, free event is the largest regional show in the security industry—drawing over 3,000 security practitioners, corporate decision-makers, and law enforcement personnel from Maine to Alabama. The exhibit floor boasts more than 125 product innovators and service providers offering new solutions to current and emerging business and technology challenges.
“Security practitioners from all aspects of private security and law enforcement attend this event each year. It’s a powerful forum where peers and experts engage in thought-provoking discussions on challenges, solutions, and future strategies,” says ASIS NYC Chapter Chair Kevin O’Brien. “Being in New York City allows us to draw upon the knowledge and experience of the industry’s leading authorities from the Fortune 500, as well as foremost security experts working in the public sector.”
The morning seminar titled: “What Now?” begins at 9:30 a.m. and brings together a panel of security directors and solutions providers to share insights on addressing recent economic challenges and explore lessons learned as well as answer audience member’s concerns. Attendees will gain ideas that they can immediately apply on-the-job and discover practices that can be adapted to grow their companies, divisions, or work portfolios. ASIS board-certified attendees can earn credits toward recertification by attending this two-hour session.
The chapter will present its 2011 Person of the Year during a special luncheon event. Tickets to attend the luncheon may be purchased in advance or on-site for $75 each. Tables of 10 can be reserved.
Exhibition space is 70% sold. Companies interested in reaching key decision-makers based in the NY metro region—as well as the East Coast—should contact Shannon Burch at +1.703.518.1424 to contract space while booths still are available.
