It is not usual practice to tip, but you can do so when the service is exceptional.
If you spend S$100 or more, you can claim a refund on the 7% Goods and Services Tax paid on your purchases made at participating retail shops that display the “Tax Refund” logo when you leave Singapore.

How to Get Around
Transportation from the Airport to the Hotel (20 km)
Time by taxi: 20 min – 25 min (depending on the traffic)

Taxis are available at the taxi stands at the arrival halls of each airport terminals. Fares include a flag-down fixed charge at $3.00 and are metered at a rate of $0.22 per 400m.

Travelling Around Singapore
Although the most convenient way around Singapore is by taxi, you may like to try the MRT, which has an extensive network around Singapore.
