The theme of this presentation is hotel security and soft target protection. The purpose of my talk is to educate the prospective guest on how he or she can take certain protective measures to ensure that their stay is a memorable one for all the right reasons. Both the Hotel and the guest have responsibilities when it comes to security and sometimes these responsibilities can be misunderstood resulting in loss, damage and injury to all concerned. I will give an overview of what should be taken into account when choosing a hotel from the risk management perspective. I will also speak openly on how guests can find themselves in some vulnerable situations which may have a negative impact on their professional and private lives.
