Industry News: Italian Convention Center Depends on Dallmeier Video Surveillance

Convention and Parking Area Security in Verona

In Verona, Italy, the Veronafiere exhibition and convention center hosts an average of 35 exhibitions and 50 conventions every year. These events can attract up to 800,000 visitors and exhibitors, so to ensure outdoor area security the center installed a Dallmeier video security system with Panomera cameras, expanding and updating the existing Dallmeier video surveillance system. With more cameras, the video system helps minimize threats of vandalism, theft, and unauthorized access within the event space. Veronafiere also wanted to expand surveillance coverage to the adjacent parking area. It installed a few Panomera cameras to provide coverage, helping keep the costs for the solution low. Authorized security personnel can monitor the entire outdoor area from a central control location, and the system allows personnel to adhere to the country’s data protection regulations by automatically deleting any recordings after seven days.
