ASIS Bookstore: Add to Cart at GSX 2022

The ASIS Bookstore at GSX is the place to peruse security publications and certification materials for onsite ordering. The store will have new and best-selling titles, as well as classic references on topics in security management, investigations, and physical security, including the Protection of Assets (POA) (2021 edition).

This six-volume POA collection is intended for a wide readership, as well as security management directors and professionals responsible for corporate asset protection. The ASIS member price is $499; nonmember price is $699.

In addition to the POA, all other ASIS-published books, resale titles, and some ASIS-branded merchandise will be available to view and purchase in the ASIS Bookstore. All customers attending GSX in person will receive 10 percent off their order. GSX Digital attendees will also receive 10 percent off online orders. Thirty-ounce GSX tumblers will also be available for purchase for in-person attendees.

The 2022 ASIS Security Industry Book of the Year, Principles of Emergency Management and Emergency Operations Centers (EOC), 2nd editionedited by Michael J. Fagel, Rick C. Mathews, and J. Howard Murphy, will also be highlighted in the ASIS Bookstore and will be available for purchase. A book signing and award presentation will be held on Monday, 12 September, starting at 11:00 a.m. ET. (Read our interview with the winners here.)

“This second edition displays top contributions from experts representing years of practical experience in a permanently evolving discipline,” says Jean Perois, CPP, chair of the ASIS Book of the Year Committee. “This book is at the same time a reference, a training guide, and a very down-to-earth guide providing direction on all aspects and types of emergency operations. Rarely addressed aspects of emergency operations such as the importance of communications with media, the issue of leadership and decision-making during disasters or crises, are invaluable.”

Additionally, the ASIS Bookstore will host a book signing with Lida Citroën, author of Control the Narrative: The Executive’s Guide to Building, Pivoting, and Repairing Your Reputation, starting at 11:00 a.m. ET on Tuesday, 13 September. She will be in the ASIS Bookstore signing books until noon, while supplies last.

“We need security professionals right now, and we need them to be confident,” Citroën says. “There’s so much uncertainty, and this is a community of our population that has the tools and the training to keep us protected.”

The ASIS Bookstore is located in the lobby of the Georgia World Congress Center. Store hours are:
