ASIS News: Be a Security LeadHER!

Security LeadHER: Join Us in Minneapolis and Register Now!

The 2026 Security LeadHER Conference, presented by ASIS International and the Security Industry Association, will be held in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. Security LeadHER was built on a simple but powerful premise: The security profession is stronger when the full breadth of its talent is developed, celebrated, and elevated. What has grown from that premise is a conference unlike anything else in our industry.

This 15-16 June, Security LeadHER attendees will kick off the event with exclusive, preregistered, behind-the-scenes tours of two of the nation’s most iconic security operations: Target’s 24/7 Corporate Command Center and the Mall of America’s security operation, followed by hands-on exploration at the Axis Experience Center.

The two-day program that follows delivers practical education sessions on executive presence, personal branding, organizational dynamics, the influence of artificial intelligence (AI) on human decision-making, and so much more. Keynote addresses from Alison Fragale, Ph.D., author of Likeable Badass, and Minda Harts, creator of the Seven Trust Languages framework will ground the program in research-driven insights about self-advocacy and professional credibility, complemented by peer-to-peer roundtables throughout the event.

What makes Security LeadHER truly unique, however, is not simply the quality of its content. It is the quality of the conversations it generates among peers, across career stages, and through the full spectrum of our profession. Whether you are early in your career and looking for a roadmap, mid-career and ready to step more fully into your voice and influence, or a senior leader committed to opening doors for those who follow, this conference was designed with you in mind. Security LeadHER welcomes all security professionals who are committed to advancing women in the profession and strengthening the industry.

Congratulations to This Year’s IE Business School Scholarship Winners!

The ASIS Foundation continues to invest in the future of security leadership by supporting executive education through the Executive Management for Security Professionals (EMSP) program in partnership with the IE Business School.

The EMSP program helps security leaders strengthen their business acumen through an immersive five-day program in Madrid, Spain. Participants gain practical leadership, strategy, and financial decision-making skills while connecting with peers from around the world, reinforcing the idea that security is not just a function, but a true enabler of organizational success.

Every year, the ASIS Foundation offers two full-tuition scholarships to the program. The ASIS Foundation would like to congratulate this year’s scholarship winners. Selected from more than 80 applicants, this recognition reflects not only their achievements, but their commitment to advancing our profession. Congratulations to Michael King, associate vice president at Guidepost Solutions, and Ken Close, director of security, fire, and life safety at Sinai Health!
