2025 Security Trends: Understanding the Evolving Role of Security
ASIS recently published a new research report focused on upcoming trends in security. As with all ASIS Security Issues Research, this project includes survey research, a detailed report on the findings, and additional examinations, including webinars and Security Management articles.
As the security function in organizations continues to evolve, understanding current trends and using that knowledge to improve security is crucial. The 2025 Security Trends project, sponsored by Resolver, sought to measure if and how security has become more strategic in organizations, how they prepare for the threats they face, and how security professionals use and view artificial intelligence.

Last Chance for ASIS Europe
ASIS Europe: From Risk to Resilience is taking place from 4 to 6 March 2025 in Dublin, Ireland. The event is focused on both physical and cyber security risks and the role security plays in supporting business objectives. It is the region’s critical gathering for established and aspiring security leaders working in multinational environments.
The conference will feature Ed McLaughlin, president and chief technology officer at Mastercard, as the opening keynote on Wednesday, and Thursday will feature a plenary panel of CSOs. The conference will include more than 50 educational sessions and workshops, allowing attendees to learn more about pressing issues in the industry and how they can grow in their careers. There will also be dedicated networking time and opportunities for attendees to see the latest technology and security solutions.
