Industry News: MOD Pizza Flips for Video and Alarm Management
Restaurant Alarm Verification
When MOD Pizza decided to initiate an upgrade of its physical security infrastructure, it ultimately selected Interface Systems. The fast-casual pizza chain—which has more than 420 restaurants in North America and roughly 10,000 employees—consolidated operations with Interface to improve security while reducing false alarm costs by more than 95 percent and monthly subscription costs by more than 15 percent. The restaurants implemented Interface’s hybrid network video recorders, which can work with legacy camera and alarm systems as well as new IP cameras at new locations. The video-verified alarm solution allows for verification of every alarm event, translating into fewer penalties over false alarms while increasing employee confidence in the alarm system. Interface also deployed a cloud-based video management system to support surveillance and investigations at MOD Pizza locations.
