ASIS News: Advance Rates for GSX End Soon

GSX is Just Around the Corner!

This year, ASIS International will host Global Security Exchange (GSX) in Dallas, Texas, from 11 to 13 September. GSX has been the world’s most comprehensive event for security professionals for more than 65 years, and since 2020, participants have been able to participate digitally from anywhere in the world or onsite and in-person.

This year, the conference will feature more than 200 education sessions, including three keynote sessions that will kick off each day of the conference; Uncrewed U sessions, which will highlight aerial and uncrewed vehicle solutions; and Career HQ, which will focus on professional development and advancing your career.

There are four main types of passes attendees can register for: an All-Access Pass, a One-Day Pass, an Expo-Only Pass, or a Digital Access Pass. Register for GSX now, because advance rates will end after 31 July!

All-Access Pass

The All-Access Pass includes access to all conference sessions, access to the exhibit hall on all three days, and lunch on all three days. For ASIS members, this pass will be $975 through 31 July. ASIS members in good standing from 138 Emerging Market countries are eligible for 50 percent off an All-Access Pass.

One-Day Pass

With a One-Day Pass, registrants can choose one of the three days GSX is running to attend. The pass will include the general session, concurrent sessions, access to the exhibit hall, and lunch for the day selected. For ASIS members, this pass is $545.

Expo-Only Pass

The Expo-Only Pass includes access to the exhibit hall for all three days, including access to the education sessions on the four exhibit hall stages (Uncrewed U, Career HQ, X Stage, Cybersecurity Pavilion). Lunch tickets can be purchased separately. For ASIS members, the Expo-Only Pass will be $0 through 31 July.

Digital Access Pass

The Digital Access Pass includes virtual access to three concurrent sessions per time slot and all Cybersecurity Pavilion, Uncrewed U, and X Stage sessions. The pass will also grant access to all digital GSX ‘23 content through the end of 2023. This pass is $360. ASIS Members in good standing from 138 Emerging Market countries are eligible for 50 percent off a Digital Access Pass.

In addition to these four options, there are also Student and Guest passes. Additionally, attendees can register for pre-conference programming, purchase lunch tickets for the GSX bistro, and purchase tickets for the awards celebration.

The Fitness Challenge Has Been Extended

If you are just a little shy of your goal for the ASIS Foundation Fitness Challenge, you’re in luck! The Fitness Challenge has been extended to 31 August. Now you can run, bike, swim, and exercise your way up to the top of the leaderboard all the way through the end of August. The results of the Fitness Challenge will be announced on 10 September at GSX.

Remember, every dollar donated will go to the ASIS Foundation to help fund research, scholarships, and grants that support your fellow security professionals. You can ask your friends and family to sponsor your Fitness Challenge with donations as well!

Sign Up for Speed Networking

Last year, the first-ever GSX speed networking session was a huge hit, so we’ve brought it back this year! Speed networking is a great way to meet a variety of mentors in a few short minutes, so you can start building professional connections right away. The session is now open for any in-person GSX attendees and will be on Tuesday, 12 September, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. CDT. There are only 50 slots available, and they will be sure to fill up quickly, so register now!

If you are not able to attend speed networking but are still interested in becoming a part of ASIS International’s mentorship program, you can sign up to be a mentor or mentee online. Mentoring is a great way to get to know other members of ASIS and to expand your network within the security industry. Both mentors and mentees are also eligible to earn CPEs.
