EMERGENCY OPERATIONS
A new state-of-the-art situation hub with real-time visualization technology helps emergency responders in California improve reactions to crises and natural disasters. Contra Costa County’s emergency operations center (EOC)—which includes 13 conference rooms, 22 offices, and a press briefing auditorium—aims to improve situational awareness and emergency response, including in how county, municipal, or private resources are deployed and used during incidents. The EOC features RGB Spectrum’s Galileo display processor and its Zio AV-over-IP platform, solutions that offer support for diverse signal sources, simultaneous dissemination of information to local and remote locations through IP video streams on local area and wide area networks, and 4K-quality images. The EOC’s 32x14-foot video wall includes 48 55-inch LCD screens and is powered by the Galileo processor.
