EXPANDING AI SOLUTIONS
A partnership between UK-based electronic security distributor QED and EmpiricAI means the Computer Vision AI solution can reach a wider market. The AI solution was developed by EmpiricAI specifically to improve the health, safety, and productivity of businesses. QED said it expected a strong demand for the solution from various industries, including construction, corporate offices, manufacturing, retail, and other customer-facing sectors. One of EmpiricAI’s solutions, the WorkSafe Analytics platform, uses Computer Vision technology to help businesses accurately view potential risks in the workplace, ensuring compliance with health and safety guidelines. The platform can integrate with on-site surveillance cameras and assist with monitoring and detecting of non-compliance with certain guidelines, including occupancy or social distancing.
MERGERS AND MOVES
Google Cloud announced its plan to purchase the threat intelligence company in an all-cash transaction valued at more than $5.3 billion, advancing Google’s security offerings to include end-to-end security operations suites. The deal is expected to close later this year and is subject to customary closing conditions.

With the acquisition of SecurityTrails and its domain and IP address data, Recorded Future has additional intelligence for its threat landscape visibility platform, including insight into an organization’s infrastructure and attack surface.
