VIDEO ANALYTICS 

The Southeastern Rail Network in the United Kingdom now relies on a Bosch smart video security solution to help secure 12 train depots, including five unmanned locations, against theft and intrusion. As one of the largest public train operators in the country, Southeastern Rail provides services between London, Kent, and parts of East Sussex. The cameras feature built-in Intelligent Video Analytics and are configured to the depots’ requirements. The system relies on machine learning algorithms, which automatically sound alarms on security threats, including intruders and perimeter breaches. It also tracks metadata on the arrival times of trains, monitors deliveries at the depots, and performs other AI-assisted functions.

Allied Universal // G4S plc 
The $5.28 billion acquisition was finalized in mid-March, expanding Allied Universal’s portfolio with more than 500,000 employees who specialize in protecting events, infrastructure, and other businesses. 

Stealth Monitoring // Eyewitness Surveillance 
The merger combines two North American video surveillance businesses focused on designing, installing, and providing remote video monitoring solutions.

The definitive merger provides Solis Security’s portfolio of customers access to MyITpros’ team of associated professionals, managed IT, and cybersecurity expertise. 

NuWave // PCI 
The merger forms BigBear.ai, a company focused on decision dominance, delivering information and support, with services across the data and digital spectrum.  

AWARD 

The 2020 Global Biometrics in Security Market Growth Innovation & Leadership Excellence Frost Radar Award was presented to NEC Corporation for its biometric solutions and innovations, including a shift towards B2C strategy.  

CONTRACT  

Scania AB, a Swedish transportation solutions provider, selected BlackBerry Limited’s QNX to provide the safety certified operating system for its heavy goods vehicles. 

ANNOUNCEMENT 

Giant Oak, Inc., was issued a U.S. patent for its GOST search tool, which allows a user to quickly sift through domain-specific media, identifying negative or suspicious behavior.

Cybersecurity
Bitdefender announced a threat intelligence partnership with Recorded Future, providing customers with increased visibility at the top-level domain and actionable insights to address cyberthreats. 

Crytopcurrency 
Bluestone Analytics and Chainalysis announced a platform partnership for enhanced investigative analysis capabilities into dark web cryptocurrency transactions, allowing organizations to pursue threat actors. 

Identity Resolution 
Ontic announced a partnership with Giant Oak, which will allow clients to screen for certain behaviors and threat actors.
