Edge computing cameras manufacturer i-PRO Americas Inc. announced a strategic partnership with NovoTrax, an end-to-end life safety and mass notification company. The partnership will blend the companies’ respective strengths with the goal of eliminating long-standing integration gaps between video security and mass notification systems—gaps that can waste crucial time during emergency events. The partnership aims to provide first responders with immediate, actional intelligence, including live video, real-time location data, and integrated communications.

Defense and technology solutions provider Saalex Corporation announced the acquisition of Greenfield Engineering, a software and systems engineering firm specializing in avionics software development for the U.S. Navy.
GALLS // Pittsburgh Public Safety Supply, Inc
GALLS, a uniform and tactical gear supplier for American public safety and military professionals, acquired Pittsburgh Public Safety Supply, a regional uniform and gear provider for public safety.
HID // Calmell Group
Identity solution provider HID announced the acquisition of Calmell Group, a Spanish manufacturer of smart cards, smart paper tickets, and magnetic tickets, which are largely used in public transportation.
Allegion plc // Summit Partners
Through one of its subsidiaries, Allegion acquired Elatec, including Elatec GmbH and other entities, from Summit Partners for €330 million ($383.7 million). Elatec manufactures security and access technology, specializing in RFID credentials and readers solutions.
Allegion plc // Waitwhile Inc.
An Allegion subsidiary acquired privately owned Waitwhile Inc., a software-as-a-service provider that specializes in cloud-based appointment scheduling and queue management. The move adds complementary software products to Allegion’s portfolio.

The acquisition of Gatewise—a Texas-based software-as-a-service provider for gate entry system for multifamily communities—will complement Allegion’s existing portfolio offerings, like electronic locks and multifamily access solutions.
Triton // Bosch
Triton, a European investment firm, purchased Bosch’s security and communications technology product business, which includes video systems, access control, intrusion alarm systems, and communication systems. The businesses will now operate under the new name of KEENFINITY Group.
Honeywell // Li-ion Tamer
Honeywell’s acquisition of Nexceris’ Li-ion Tamer—a business that provides off-gas detection solutions for lithium-ion batteries that detect thermal runaway events—deepens the company’s portfolio of fire life safety technologies.
Awards
HID and Assa Abloy’s BG100 Speedgate won a 2025 Red Dot award for product design in the interior design elements category. The unit is a self-service e-gate for boarding and lounge access in airports, offering facial recognition and a document reader for a smoother passenger experience.
Eagle Eye Networks’ Indoor Air Quality Vape Sensor won the 2025 Secure Campus award in the Video Surveillance Hardware category. The sensor can be placed in sensitive areas where cameras cannot be used, like restrooms and locker rooms.
Contracts
The U.S. Department of Defense’s Data Readiness for Artificial Intelligence Development awarded Agile Defense a two-year $35 million contract to advance data readiness in support of artificial intelligence operations.
The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Rock Island, awarded Constellis with a $10.3 billion ceiling value contract for global protective services. Constellis will provide armed and unarmed guards, as well as protective security services to support the U.S. Department of Defense and other agencies.

Interface Systems published a practical compliance guide about New York’s Retail Worker Safety Act, providing retailers with a breakdown of how to meet the law’s mandates.
The Canadian government ordered Chinese surveillance camera manufacturer Hikvision to stop operating in Canda due to national security concerns. The company submitted an appeal in early July, claiming the order is unreasonable.
Partnerships
Critical infrastructure. Dallmeier and Hexagon formed a technology partnership and will collaborate to develop integrated security solutions for several application areas, including critical infrastructure.
Cyber defense. MetTel announced a strategic partnership with Check Point Software Technologies, integrating the latter’s Harmony mobile platform into MetTel’s mobility suite. The move will allow better targeting of mobile-based cyber threats like phishing links, infected applications, unpatched OS vulnerabilities, and insecure Wi-Fi connections.
Digital currency. Idemia Secure Transactions and Elo launched a pilot program for Brazil’s digital currency. The program allows payments to be integrated into one of the largest government social assistance programs so people can use a digital currency, regardless of their online status. Users can access the digital currency with a smartphone, cards, biometric cards, or feature phones (mobile phones that are not smartphones).
Endpoint management. Scalefusion partnered with MCA Groupe to deliver end-to-end endpoint lifecycle services across France. Together, they offer clients a range of solutions to simplify device management and enforce Zero Trust access.
Motion detection. Aqusense and Splunk partnered to integrate human presence and motion detection into Splunk’s Edge Hub and Operational Technology Intelligence platforms.
Public safety. ProLogic ITS announced a partnership with Signal 8 that will highlight Signal 8’s software platform, Smart Squad, which offers tools that can improve officer safety, operational efficiency, and real-time situational awareness.
Retail surveillance. The Mall of America announced it is expanding its partnership with Axis Communications by implementing car-counting video analytics to increase operational efficiency, improve security, and improve logistics and scheduling.
Safer roads. Verra Mobility Corporation, which provides smart mobility technology solutions, announced a partnership with Oakland’s City Council. Verra Mobility will deliver, operate, and maintain a speed safety program for the California city, leveraging advanced automated technology to help curb speeding.
Satellite security. Indian space systems engineering and satellite solutions company Space TS and Synergy Quantum, a military-grade post-quantum cybersecurity organization, signed a memorandum of understanding. They will develop the nation’s first suite of quantum-secure, sovereign satellite communications systems and related infrastructure for supporting national security against quantum-enabled cyber threats.
Wildfires. Technology provider for people risk management Safeture and travel risk intelligence company Riskline published a new report, Wildfires Informer 2025. The report highlights global wildfire activity and includes tips for travelers on preparing for and reducing exposure to wildfire-affected areas.
