Industry News October 2021
PHYSICAL ENTERTAINMENT SECURITY
Round1 Entertainment—a company offering indoor multi-entertainment that includes arcade games, billiards, bowling, karaoke, and other activities—selected Hanwha Techwin as a video security solutions partner to secure several of its facilities based in the United States. Hanwha’s cameras, NVRs, and Wisenet WAVE VMS can improve protecting the company from a recent increase in litigation from visitors making injury claims. Round1 opted to increase its facilities’ data retention requirements, allowing staff to access and review footage from as far back as two years, which can help determine the validity of any claim filed against the company. As of the end of August, Round1 has migrated seven locations to WAVE, including a facility at the Cumberland Mall in Atlanta, Georgia, which helps manage bandwidth, retrieve pertinent video footage, and isolate relevant images.
