Fast Facts: Core Soft Skills to Withstand Disruption

The status quo of core skills workers need has been dramatically disrupted as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, emerging technology like artificial intelligence (AI), and remote work. Employers expect 39 percent of workers’ core skills to need to change by 2030, according to the World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report 2025.

In the face of this disruption, organizations and employees alike are refocusing on continuous learning, upskilling and reskilling, and other training opportunities. But the most valued core skills remain in resilience, collaboration, and cognitive analysis.
