Save the Date for GSX 2020

ASIS International continues to look to the future and how to evolve GSX for the better. The most recent event evolution involves a new schedule announcement. So, mark your calendars—the dates for GSX 2020 are Monday, 21 September through Wednesday, 23 September 2020.

One of ASIS’s guiding principles in this effort for continuous improvement has been to solicit and receive feedback from all of its valued stakeholders, including attendees, exhibitors, and vendor partners.

Attendees and exhibitors are looking for a more compact, but holistic and robust event experience—and to learn, network, and conduct business on a more efficient schedule.

In addition, ASIS is also complementing event stakeholder feedback with data on broader event industry trends. With that input, ASIS is pleased to share GSX 2020 schedule highlights that continue to maintain ASIS’s best-in-class, peer-driven educational offerings:

Saturday, 19 September to Sunday, 20 September 2020

Traditional pre-conference activities occur as usual, including the ASIS International Board and Foundation meetings, council meetings, pre-conference workshops, certification review courses, volunteer leader town hall, and awards programming.

21 September to 23 September 2020

Monday. GSX officially kicks off on Monday morning with our opening general session, laying the groundwork for three days of learning, networking, and exposition.

Monday remains preserved as a day for learning and networking, highlighted by a new addition to the agenda: a second general session in the afternoon, delivered in a unique format.

Monday’s second general session concludes at 3:15 p.m. and attendees and exhibitors will convene on the expo floor for three hours of networking activities from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Tuesday. The morning follows the same pattern as Monday with a general session to set the tone for the day, then transitions to a full day of classroom and X Learning, exposition, and networking.

Lunch will be served in the GSX Bistro on the expo floor, and the day will close with an expo happy hour and an evening devoted to exhibitor hosted events.

Wednesday. The final day of GSX 2020 concludes with a full day of activities, opening with a general session in the morning, followed by a full day of classroom and X Learning, exposition, and networking activities.

Lunch will again be served in the GSX Bistro on the expo floor, and the day will close with the GSX President’s Reception.

The ASIS International event management and volunteer leadership teams embrace a culture of continuous improvement in every area of their operation. And while they are confident this is the final substantive change to GSX’s event schedule in the coming years, the teams will uphold their commitment to event stakeholders to continue to make smart investments in GSX and look for opportunities to improve the attendee and exhibitor experience.

Registration opens in February 2020. Immediately following GSX here in Chicago, attendees can go online to GSX.org/2020schedule to read about the details and benefits (and FAQs) of the new schedule and sign up to be placed on the mailing list to get the latest information when it’s released.
