​SECURING ORLANDO’S EYE

The Orlando Eye complex in Florida includes the 400-foot Orlando Eye observation wheel, Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum, and a SEA LIFE aquarium. Operated by Merlin Entertainment, the complex called for tight access control in the ride area, garage parking, and electrical rooms, while extending a welcoming atmosphere to tourists.

Signature Systems of Florida was enlisted to provide a full-scale solution to secure the venue. The company chose Milestone Systems’ XProtect Enterprise video management software and more than 250 Axis Communications video cameras for the surveillance portion of the system, and it implemented DNA Fusion access control software from Open Options along with Mercury Security access hardware.

AMAG Technology has integrated its Symmetry Access Control with the DMP XR550 Intrusion Panel from Digital Monitoring Products.

Hikvision USA teamed with the Memphis Police Department to deploy cameras and recorders throughout the city.

Implant Sciences Corporation received an order from the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority for QS-B220 desktop explosives trace detectors to be deployed to Canadian airports for passenger and baggage screening.

MorphoTrak and Spectrum Systems will provide technology enabling tribes to participate in national criminal justice information services through a contract with the U.S. Department of Justice.

Panasonic Corporation of North America will partner with Denver and a number of local private entities to improve community engagement, energy efficiency, water conservation, public safety, healthcare, and other public services.

Unisys Corporation announced the implementation of its facial recognition system at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City to help U.S. Customs and Border Protection identify imposters attempting to enter the United States using fraudulent passports.

Utility, Inc., announced that the Atlanta Department of Corrections has deployed its BodyWorn police body cameras.

The Latvian Road Traffic Safety Directorate chose Veridos to supply Latvian driver’s licenses and their personalization.​

AFL was awarded three patents for new technologies used in its Optical Connectivity and Apparatus products.

AlliedBarton Security Services was named one of the Best Companies for Leaders by Chief Executive magazine.

Anixter received the 2015 Customer Satisfaction Award from Johnson Controls.

Axis Communications named Avaya its 2015 Technology Partner of the Year.

The MorphoWave Tower, a contactless biometric solution from Morpho Safran, was named Access Control Product of the Year by IFSEC International and FIREX International.

The Z-Wave Alliance announced that Nu Tech Software Solutions, Inc., is the winter winner of its global IoT developer competition.

IBM acquired IRIS Analytics, a company specializing in real-time analytics to help combat payment fraud.
