Even within the same industry, effective security rarely looks the same from one facility to the next. In healthcare, the facilities and offered services greatly vary, depending on the level of expertise, funding, and technology available. The security solutions to protect doctors, nurses, staff, patients, and the community also vary between the types of facilities and their locations.

However, even when security measures are in place, that doesn’t guarantee that incidents of workplace violence won’t occur. Recent research into security and workplace safety in U.S. healthcare settings, conducted by The Harris Poll on behalf of Verkada, looked at how safe healthcare workers feel on the job.
