COMMUNICATIONS CENTER
Brookhaven, New York, now boasts a Public Safety Communications Center, enhancing the town’s communications with other local, county, and state agencies. IntraLogic Solutions designed and installed the facility. It features cutting-edge technology, including a communications compression system that transmits real-time surveillance video. Able to alert officials about criminal activity or weather events, the new center can track GPS-outfitted town vehicles and access more than 350 cameras in parks, recreation centers, and other sites, as well as two drone cameras.
AWARD
The Security Industry Association (SIA) New Product Showcase Awards awarded the 2019 Best New Product honor to IPVideo Corporation for its HALO IOT Smart Sensor, submitted in the Environmental Monitoring Systems category. The Judges’ Choice winner was Alcatraz AI.
CONTRACT
A private Missouri college partnered with PlateSmart Technologies, to use its license plate recognition software to manage high traffic volumes on campus, automatically checking for any blacklisted vehicles. The software integrates with the college’s existing Milestone Systems video management system.
ANNOUNCEMENT
The Safety Alerts for Education Foundation (S.A.F.E.) will donate its emergency alerts system to all schools in the United States for free and in perpetuity.
