International Buyer Program is Here
?For the first time, the ASIS International 61st Annual Seminar and Exhibits is a proud participant in the International Buyer Program (IBP) supported by the U.S. Department of Commerce. As part of the IBP, delegations of international buyers will be matched with exhibitors looking to export their products outside the United States.
International trade specialists from the U.S. Commerce Department will be on-site in the International Buyer Center, which is located with the International Lounge in Hall E. They will be available to provide matching assistance and expert trade counseling to the delegates and exhibitors.
Eleven IBP delegations are attending. They hail from Algeria, Canada, the Dominican Republic, Egypt, the Nordic region, Kenya, Nigeria, Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, Ukraine, and Uruguay.
IBP delegation members will receive special benefits as a participant in the Seminar and Exhibits. In addition to an Export Directory of show exhibitors, the delegates will have full access to the exhibit hall and the International Buyer Center when they are open on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
Delegation members can also attend selected education sessions and participate in professional tours and site visits upon request. Special access has also been arranged for the delegates to attend the Tuesday and Wednesday keynotes.
Every year, the IBP results in approximately $1 billion in new business for U.S. companies as well as increased attendance by international visitors to domestic conventions. As a participant, the Seminar and Exhibits was included in the Commerce Department's worldwide promotion to international delegates and U.S. exhibitors.
