ACCESS TO FUN

Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is installing Boon Edam turnstiles at a number of rides to improve crowd management, ensure accurate customer counts, and improve revenue collection.

The only major seaside amusement park on the U.S. West Coast, the Santa Cruz Boardwalk is located along a scenic, mile-long public beach. The entertainment complex features rides, midway games, video game arcades, a miniature golf course, and a laser tag arena, along with restaurants and food outlets.

The facility recently upgraded to a cashless card system, creating the opportunity to improve ride entrance technology. Stored-value cards are now used for the arcades, the midway, and the rides. Boon Edam’s Trilock 60 turnstiles have been installed at several of the rides, and plans are in place to add them to more rides and attractions, including Laser Tag, Lazer Maze, Mini Golf, and Fright Walk.
