​MOBILE VIDEO SECURITY

A+ Technology and Security Solutions deploys its Mobile Command Vehicle for monitoring special events held in open areas and off-site locations. For example, it was there watching over the health and safety of the more than 7,000 people who attended the 2014 graduation ceremonies for City College of New York.  
The vehicle is equipped with 12 mounted high-definition and remote cameras, and it includes an onboard command center with video management system recording and video surveillance. Here, President David Antar of A+ monitors video from the interior of the command vehicle.

PARTNERSHIPS AND DEALS

Access Control Technology readers and cards are being used as part of a marine access control solution for buildings run by Irish Ferries. The installation was performed by 911 Security Systems.

Absolute Software Corporation announced that its Computrace and Absolute Safe Schools programs have been implemented by Southern Kern Unified School District in Rosamond, California.
Amika Mobile is providing its emergency communications platform to the Albany Veterans Administration Medical Center in New York. The system was delivered in partnership with Condortech Integrated Security Services.
Storage arrays from Dot Hill Systems Corporation are in use by the Bakersfield School District in California for districtwide video management and storage. 
HID Global access control solutions have been deployed by Norway Post at its Robsrud Terminal, which handles more than 60 percent of mail in Norway.
Coimbatore, India, has applied for a United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction scorecard, which was developed by IBM and AECOM to help cities prepare for disasters.
The Brazilian Ministry of Work has deployed dome cameras from IndigoVision to increase security at its storage sites.
Lexington School District One in South Carolina has deployed MOBOTIX Corporation IP surveillance solutions across 32 schools and administration buildings.
Raymax infrared illuminators from Raytec have been deployed at Alexander the Great Airport in Skopje, Macedonia, for perimeter security. The installation was facilitated by Sensormatic and Y3K.
Vimicro International Corporation and Shanxi Zhongtianxin Science and Technology Company, Ltd., have won contracts to provide video surveillance products for traffic control in Taiyuan City, China.
An automated border control solution designed by Vision-Box is being tested at Guarulhos International Airport in São Paulo, Brazil.

AWARDS AND CERTIFICATIONS

The M908 handheld mass spectrometer from 908 Devices has successfully completed chemical testing to validate its performance. Testing was conducted by MRIGlobal.
The Tourlock 180-90 revolving door and the Circlelock security mantrap portal from Boon Edam have been certified to conform with UL Standards 325 and 2593, and CSA22.2#247.
The newly designed Irish electronic passport won the Regional ID Document of the Year Award at the High Security Printing Conference in Milan. HID Global, DLRS Group, and X INFOTECH designed and produced the passports. The award was presented to the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs.
Hikvision won a Maximum Impact Award in the Digital Recording Systems category for its NVR at the Electronic Se­curity Expo (ESX) in Nashville, Tennessee.
Honeywell announced that its Enterprise Buildings Integrator and its Digital Video Manager have been recognized by UL and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, respectively, as meeting performance criteria for critical applications.
IdentiSys was named a 2014 Top Workplace in Minnesota by the Star Tribune.
Moxa announced that the Florida Department of Transportation has added its EDS managed-field Ethernet switches to the state’s approved product list.
The NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering has been designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Operations by the National Security Agency and U.S. Cyber Command. 
Smartvue Corporation won a Maximum Impact Award for best Video Surveillance System at ESX. The company also won the Commercial Integrator Award for its Smartvue S9M Cloud Surveillance Server from Commercial Integrator magazine.
Tagetik has received ISO/IEC 27001 certification for information security management.
Utica College has been designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance and Cyber Defense Education by the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security.
Xtralis won awards for its fire detection systems at the ESX and the IFSEC/FIREX International trade shows in England.
