Photos of Prince William Reveal 'Sensitive' Information and Login Credentials

11/21/2012 -

Tip:Don’t post network login details on the wall – especially if you’re working for the Ministry of Defence (MoD).

A MoD photographer was taking photos for a “Day in the Life” feature for a site dedicated to the public life of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Prince William is a search and rescue pilot in the Royal Air Force (RAF) so that meant swinging by his North Wales office to snap some pics.

It wasn’t until the pictures were published online and distributed to the media that the MoD realized classified information was visible on computer screens and network login credentials were posted on the wall.

“As a precaution, the MoD has beenforced to reset the user names and passwords of some RAF staff on its internal system,” The Guardian reports.

The original photos were taken down, “amended,” and republished. The MoD is asking the media to use the altered photos.

Here’s a question: Who at the MoD thought it was a good idea to post login credentials on the wall anyway?
