Individual Awards

President's Award of Merit
This award is bestowed by the President of ASIS International to an individual member for distinguished service, achievement, and/or contributions. This award does not accept nominations.

Women in Security Global Community Karen Marquez Honors
This award honors an ASIS International female member who has consistently worked for the betterment of the security industry.

NextGen of the Year Award
This award recognizes an ASIS member under age 40 who demonstrates a dedication to the security industry through strong leadership, teamwork, and innovation while continually developing their knowledge and experience.

Roy N. Bordes, CPP Community Member Award of Excellence
This award recognizes an ASIS International member who has exhibited selfless devotion as a volunteer, emphasizing significant contributions at the subject area community level over an extended period of time.

Ralph Day Memorial Security Officer Heroism Award
This award recognizes heroism in circumstances where a private security officer risks their life to protect or save lives and/or property.

Don Walker Memorial CSO Center Security Executive Award
This award recognizes a senior level executive who demonstrates commitment to security management education, certification, and standards and guidelines for the executive management level of the security discipline in a given enterprise.

E.J. Criscuoli, Jr., CPP Memorial Volunteer Leadership Award
This award recognizes an ASIS International member who has exhibited selfless devotion at the volunteer level, emphasizing significant contributions at the chapter and regional levels over an extended period of time.

PCB Outstanding Achievement Award
The award recognizes an individual for service rendered to the advancement and promotion of the ASIS Certification designations of CPP, PCI, PSP, and APP, in which they have displayed outstanding leadership and commitment to the profession.

Distinguished Service Award
Distinguished Service Awards recognize individuals (up to 10 annually) who have demonstrated exceptional dedication, commitment, and outstanding contributions to ASIS International during the award year.

Community of the Year Award
This award recognizes a subject area community that has excelled in member engagement and content development, showcasing its commitment to fostering vibrant discussions, nurturing knowledge exchange, and cultivating valuable resources within the community.

I.B. Hale Chapter of the Year Award

Foundation Certification Scholarships

CERTIFICATION

Certification scholarships will be awarded to ASIS members in good standing all over the world. Each scholarship includes an online review course PLUS the certification exam fees for your choice of the CPP, PCI, PSP, or APP certification.

This scholarship opportunity honors the legacy of John L. Buckley and his enduring commitment to advancing the next generation of security professionals.

Certification scholarships will be awarded to ASIS members in good standing who are current law enforcement officers. Each scholarship includes an online review course PLUS the certification exam fees for your choice of the CPP, PCI, PSP, or APP certification.

Certification scholarships will be awarded to ASIS members in good standing who are veterans or current military—Active Duty, National Guard or Reserves—of any nation. Each scholarship includes an online review course PLUS the certification exam fees for your choice of the CPP, PCI, PSP, or APP certification.

NextGen Accelerator in Security Scholarship New!

Emerging Markets Security Leadership Scholarship New!

Certification scholarships will be awarded to ASIS members who are currently living in an emerging market 1 or emerging market 2 country. Each scholarship includes an online review course PLUS the certification exam fees for your choice of the CPP, PCI, PSP, or APP certification.

IFPO

Accepting applications 22 September - 31 October

The ASIS Foundation, in partnership with the International Foundation for Protection Officers are offering scholarships to support individual advancement in the security profession.
 
The CPO (Certified Protection Officer) program is designed for security officers and students who wish to learn more about asset security/protection. It is aimed at individuals with a professional orientation. What’s the difference between a security guard and a professional security officer? Guard vs Professional Protection Officer.
 
The CSSM (Comprehensive Security Supervisors and Managers) program is designed for the benefit of Comprehensive Security Supervisors and Managers seeking to enhance their skills and knowledge in this specialized field, offering a wide range of tools, resources, and opportunities for hands-on learning to strengthen their professional performance and leadership in the security realm.

*The IFPO scholarships are open to all security professionals and offered in English and Spanish programs. There is a portion of scholarships exclusively for women in security. ASIS membership is not required.

Additional Scholarships and Grants

SENIOR SECURITY EXECUTIVES

The ASIS Foundation is excited to announce our scholarship program for security executives to attend the 2026 Effective Management for Security Professionals executive education program at the prestigious IE Business School in Madrid, Spain.

Applicants must be ASIS members in good standing and must be senior security executives such as CSOs and other SSEs (Senior Security Executives). Applications will be reviewed by a committee of volunteers from the ASIS Foundation Board. If selected, you must apply for admission to the executive program and be accepted by the IE Business School in order to attend.

The IE Business school and the ASIS Foundation are offering two (2) full-tuition scholarship (valued at 4,950 euros) for their 2026 program. The scholarship covers the course in English, held 22-26 June 2026 (arriving 21 and leaving 26 evening). Scholarship recipients must be able to travel to Spain to attend the program in person on the designated dates and must be able to pay their own travel and accommodation expenses.

Please note: if you are selected for a scholarship but are unable to attend, then the scholarship will be awarded to another applicant.

GRANTS FOR CHAPTERS

ASIS Foundation chapter grants will underwrite 100% of the cost of the APP or CPP Starter Kit, or 50% of the cost for the APP or CPP Starter Kit for 5 Participants. These starter kits provide all the materials needed to lead a virtual certification study group in your chapter. Each student then purchases their own study manual to participate. (Or chapters may purchase manuals at a bulk discount).

GSX

This need-based scholarship recognizes three (3) ASIS young professional members under age 40 who have exhibited strong leadership both within the security industry and in support of ASIS. ASIS International will fund the recipients' travel expenses up to $500 USD, up to three nights hotel accommodation, and award year GSX All-Access Pass registration.
