ASIS is saddened to share the sad news of the passing of Michael Stack, our former CEO at ASIS International. Michael led the organization with distinction for more than two decades (1993-2016) and his leadership and vision left a lasting impact on both ASIS and the broader security community.
During his tenure, Michael helped transform ASIS from a nationally recognized organization into a globally influential association – one that has fundamentally changed the security profession.
His unwavering commitment to our mission and to advancing the field of security will be deeply missed. During this time, let us each take a moment to reflect on his many contributions and the positive influence he had on so many in the profession.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Michael’s name to The United States Lifesaving Association or simply take time to travel somewhere new—just as he would have encouraged you to do.
