The gathering brought together over 300 professionals and the ASIS International Global Board
On June 26, 2025, ASIS Chile celebrated its 25th anniversary, consolidating itself as a key reference for the professionalization and development of the security sector in the country and the region. This milestone took shape in a gathering that brought together more than 300 professionals, reaffirming the strength of the local community and its integration with the global ASIS International network.
One of the highlights of this edition was the participation of Pablo Colombres, CPP, a distinguished Latin American leader and member of the ASIS International Global Board, who made time in his busy schedule to join us and support the Chilean community in this important anniversary. His presence strengthened the bond between the local chapter and the global leadership structure, reminding us that ASIS is a borderless association, with 70 years of history, a presence in 160 countries, 250 chapters, and more than 38,000 members committed to raising security standards worldwide.
The gathering combined various learning and networking formats. Pre-Congress Workshops were held, which included complex critical scenarios designed to challenge participants to make strategic decisions under pressure and with limited information. In addition, practical modules on risk management and financial management for security companies were delivered, reinforcing key skills for professionals and industry leaders. These sessions set a precedent by incorporating participatory methodologies that encouraged interaction and knowledge-sharing among colleagues from different sectors.
The main agenda featured high-level keynote presentations. Guillermo Holzmann, an international analyst, opened the day with an in-depth analysis of global threats and their impact on the region. Dr. Carolina Sancho Hirane, Deputy Academic Director at Chile’s National Academy for Political and Strategic Studies (ANEPE), addressed transnational organized crime from a security and intelligence perspective. Alejandro Zuleta, CPP, PCI, shared his insights and experience on corporate risk management within multinational companies.
The technical panels brought together experts from across the security value chain to discuss critical infrastructure, cybersecurity, digital fraud, technological convergence, the professionalization of human resources, and the regulatory challenges the industry faces. All of this reinforced one of ASIS’s core goals: to serve as a space that connects corporate security leaders, operations managers, consultants, technology integrators, public safety and law enforcement agencies, municipalities, and academia.
Another key element of the gathering was the support of brands and sponsors, whose backing made it possible to deliver a high-quality event that was free of charge for all attendees. This partnership shows that collaboration between the private sector, technology providers, and professionals is essential to advancing towards higher standards of security and organizational resilience.

With initiatives like this, ASIS Chile reaffirms its commitment to training, building valuable networks, and promoting best practices — all hand in hand with the global ASIS International family, demonstrating that the security professional community is more alive, connected, and ready than ever to tackle the challenges of a dynamic and increasingly demanding world.

El encuentro reunió a más de 300 profesionales y al Board Global de ASIS International
El pasado 26 de junio de 2025, ASIS Chile celebró su 25° aniversario, consolidándose como un referente clave para la profesionalización y el desarrollo de la seguridad en el país y la región. Este hito se materializó en un Encuentro que reunió a más de 300 profesionales, reafirmando la relevancia de la comunidad local y su integración con la red global de ASIS International.
Uno de los grandes hitos de esta edición fue la participación de Pablo Colombres, CPP, destacado líder latinoamericano, miembro del Global Board de ASIS International, quien hizo un espacio en su apretada agenda para poder acompañarnos y respaldar a la comunidad chilena en este aniversario tan significativo. Su presencia fortaleció el vínculo entre el capítulo local y la estructura directiva global, recordándonos que ASIS es una asociación sin fronteras, con 70 años de historia, presencia en 160 países, 250 capítulos y más de 38.000 miembros comprometidos con elevar los estándares de la seguridad a nivel mundial.
El Encuentro combinó distintas modalidades de aprendizaje y networking. Se realizaron Talleres Pre-Congreso, que incluyeron escenarios críticos complejos para desafiar a los asistentes en la toma de decisiones estratégicas bajo presión y con información limitada. Además, se dictaron módulos prácticos de gestión de riesgos y finanzas para empresas de seguridad, reforzando habilidades clave para profesionales y líderes de la industria. Estas dinámicas marcaron un precedente al incorporar metodologías participativas que fomentaron la interacción y el aprendizaje entre colegas de distintos sectores.
La agenda central ofreció conferencias magistrales de alto nivel. Guillermo Holzmann, analista internacional, abrió la jornada con un análisis profundo sobre amenazas globales y su impacto en la región. La Dra. Carolina Sancho Hirane, Subdirectora Académica de la Academia Nacional de Estudios Políticos y Estratégicos de Chile abordó el crimen organizado transnacional desde la perspectiva de la seguridad e inteligencia. Alejandro Zuleta, CPP, PCI, compartió su experiencia sobre la gestión de riesgos corporativos en empresas multinacionales.
Los paneles técnicos reunieron a expertos de toda la cadena de valor de la seguridad para debatir sobre infraestructura crítica, ciberseguridad, fraude digital, convergencia tecnológica, profesionalización del recurso humano y los desafíos normativos que enfrenta la industria. Todo esto reforzó uno de los ejes centrales de ASIS: ser un espacio que conecta a líderes de seguridad corporativa, responsables operativos, consultores, integradores tecnológicos, fuerzas de orden y seguridad pública, municipalidades y academia.
Otro elemento clave del Encuentro fue el apoyo de marcas y auspiciadores, cuyo respaldo permitió ofrecer un evento de calidad y acceso gratuito para todos los asistentes. Esta alianza demuestra que la colaboración entre el sector privado, la tecnología y los profesionales es indispensable para avanzar hacia estándares más altos de seguridad y resiliencia organizacional.
