The ASIS International organization is governed by Global and Regional Boards, who help determine and support the direction of ASIS around the world and in their regions. These boards are selected by the Global and Regional Nominating Committees. If you are interested in getting more involved with ASIS Governance, joining a Nominating Committee is a great way to start!

Currently, ASIS is governed by the Global Board of Directors and has two regional boards overseeing their respective regions – the North American Regional Board of Directors and the European Regional Board of Directors. In coming years, ASIS is going to expand to add more regional boards.

Any active member of ASIS who has been a member and served in a volunteer leadership role (Chapter Chair, Chapter Vice Chair, Community Chair, Community Vice Chair, member of the PSB, PCB, Foundation BOT, CSO Center Board, etc.) for at least five years is eligible to apply for the Global Nominating Committee. This committee is responsible for selecting officer and director candidates for the Global Board.

Any active member in the ASIS European region who has been a member and served as a volunteer leader for at least five years is eligible to apply for the European Nominating Committee, who are responsible for selecting candidates for the European Board. Similarly, any member of the ASIS North American region who has been a member and served as a volunteer leader for at least five years is eligible to apply for the North American Nominating Committee, who are responsible for selecting candidates for the North American Board.

One should note that Nominating Committee members are not eligible to serve on a Global or Regional Board. In addition, any member selected to serve on the Nominating Committee will not be eligible to serve on the corresponding Board for one (1) year after service on a Nominating Committee.

If you are interested in serving on the Global or Regional Nominating Committees, submit your candidate interest form now! The deadline for applications is 15 June.
