Luis H. Morales is the Director, Physical & Technical Security at ConocoPhillips. A native Midwesterner, Luis held corporate security positions for 36 years in the high technology, transportation, Department of Defense, and energy sectors. He has held positions as a corporate security manager at Duke Energy Inc., Apple Computer Inc., Solectron Technology, and Johnson Controls World Services. 

His special interests include travel security/journey management, workplace violence prevention and investigation, Physical Security SME, personnel protection and project management, global facility vulnerability assessments, security system design and consultation, and executive residential security solutions.

Scott Shaw, CPP, CBCP
Senior Manager, Corporate Security,Transportation, and Disaster Preparedness

Scott Shaw is a Senior Manager of Corporate Security, Transportation, and Disaster Preparedness at Aflac. He is a Certified Protection Professional and a Certified Business Continuity Planner. Scott has 31 years experience with the U.S. State Department, U.S. Secret Service, Lucent Technologies, American International Group, Inc.,and Aflac. 

Scott served as the Regional Security Officer in Italy, Russia, and at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations. He was a special agent in New York and Washington, DC, protecting our nation's leaders. He also has had assignments in Turkey, Somalia, Mexico, El Salvador, Brazil, India, Korea and China.   

He has a BA in International Relations from California State University, Sacramento, and an MBA from Baruch College. 

Nicholas A. Smith, Jr., CPP
Director of Security
Willis North America Inc.

Nicholas A. Smith, Jr., CPP, is a global security, emergency preparedness, and investigations innovator and leader. Nick served as a Special Agent and Assistant Regional Security Officer (U.S. Embassy Athens, Greece) with the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Diplomatic Security, and possesses extensive corporate security experience in the private sector. He is currently Director of Security for Willis Towers Watson, a global risk advisory and insurance brokerage firm.

Nick's primary areas of professional interest are creating and implementing best practice personnel and physical security protocols and programs, protective intelligence, aligning security to fluid risk environments, and staying abreast of developing security trends. Nick has authored articles for Security Management magazine and enjoys being active within ASIS.
