Brussels, VA (18 March 2018)Johnson Controls and ASIS International have once more confirmed their long term partnership covering the annual ASIS Europe events, with an intention to maintain it until 2020. This year’s edition will take place on April 18-20, 2018, in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

Tyco, a brand of Johnson Controls, has supported the event as the top sponsor every year since 2007.

“Our participation at ASIS Europe allows us to interact with key decision makers and thought leaders in the region,” says John Flanderhijn, Director Strategy, Marketing & Business Development, Benelux for Johnson Controls, “The event re-design last year, with its emphasis on securing organisations in the era of IoT, makes it an ideal strategic fit with Johnson Controls’ focus on smarter and safer buildings, campuses and cities”.

ASIS Europe is designed by security practitioners for security professionals. The "From Risk to Resilience" event format - with its mix of conference, training, technology and solutions, exhibition, career center, and exclusive networking - supports established and aspiring security leaders requiring a broad understanding of both physical and cyber threats.

According to ASIS CEO, Peter J. O’Neil, “I see this long term partnership as an important endorsement of the society’s decision to embrace Enterprise Security Risk Management (ESRM) as a strategic priority, so we can better serve security professionals dealing with increasingly complex, interconnected risks. The support of industry partners like Johnson Controls is key to developing our programmes and education that advance the profession all year long, all over the world”.

This year’s conference in Rotterdam is themed “Blurred Boundaries—Clear Risks,” and will include tackling the impacts of big data and artificial intelligence.

Johnson Controls will present “Smart Buildings: Fundamentals for Security Professionals” as part of the Technology and Solutions Track.
