ASIS International Names Claire Meyer, Editor-in-Chief, Security Management

Alexandria, VA (14 August 2024)—ASIS International, the world's largest membership organization for security management professionals, is pleased to announce a key leadership change that will further strengthen its commitment to innovation and member value.

ASIS International is delighted to announce the promotion of Claire Meyer to Editor-in-Chief of Security Management, the organization's flagship award-winning publication. Since joining ASIS in 2019, Meyer has been instrumental in elevating Security Management, introducing a fresh approach while successfully managing the transition from print to digital formats.

In her new role, Meyer will oversee all aspects of Security Management content, collaborate with ASIS International’s creative team, and serve as a subject matter expert across the organization.

"Claire Meyer is the perfect choice to lead the award-winning Security Management into its next chapter," said William Tenney, CEO of ASIS International. "Her deep understanding of the security industry, combined with her innovative approach to content creation and digital media, has already significantly elevated our flagship publication. Claire's journalistic expertise, leadership skills, and ability to anticipate and address the evolving needs of our members make her uniquely qualified for this role. Under her guidance, I am confident that Security Management will continue to be the premier source of information and insights for security professionals worldwide. Claire's promotion reflects our commitment to delivering cutting-edge content and fostering innovation within the security management profession."

Meyer brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having covered the security industry in trade media since 2012. She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia, with minors in French and fine arts.

Meyer succeeds Teresa Anderson, who has been named VP, Innovation and Outreach for ASIS International.
