ASIS International is saddened to share news of the passing of Ralph Day, CPP. He was 88.

An ASIS member since 1973, Ralph was an instrumental figure in fostering professionalism within the security services industry. He joined the ASIS Security Services Community in 1985 and quickly demonstrated his leadership in this group. In his more than 30 years as a member of the community, he ascended to serve as its chair. He was also an active member of his local Jackson, Mississippi chapter—serving as chair of the chapter as well.

Honoring his important contributions to ASIS International and its support of the security services industry, Ralph was designated a life member of ASIS. The Security Services Community’s Ralph Day Security Officer Heroism Award, established several years ago in Ralph’s honor, is presented annually to a frontline security officer who performs in a superior, gallant or heroic manner in the course of his or her duties and, in doing so, has exceeded the expectations of their position and training.

We are thankful to Ralph for his dedication to and leadership within ASIS.
