Soft targets pose many challenges to the security professional. Understanding there isn’t one answer, but a series of answers to the problem, is a critical first step. This webinar will take a fresh approach to the topic of soft target hardening based on the current environment and explore emergent threats and hardening tactics. Through case studies of soft target attacks, participants will learn about the vulnerabilities of soft targets, the motivation and capabilities of the actors most likely to strike soft targets, the current threat against soft targets, and CPTED and other hardening tactics. Participants will gain the skills to assess soft targets in their communities and develop a tailored action plan for hardening the facility.
Participants will be able to:
- Define soft targets
- Explain motivation to attack soft targets
- Apply hardening tactics
