Stronger Together: ASIS Response to COVID-19

Just as you support your organization and community during turbulent times, ASIS International plays an important role in supporting you. As COVID-19 has spread, ASIS has actively curated useful resources security professionals can use to become more informed about this threat. These include:

  1. A disease outbreak information hub featuring aggregated knowledge from our 34 expert councils and related ASIS industry partners. We update this page day-by-day, so continue to check in for the most up-to-date information. If we are missing any important resources, send us a note at [email protected].
  2. Timely virtual learning, including webinars—free to ASIS members—that examine crisis management and pandemic best practices, ways security teams can support their healthcare facilities, and the disease’s impact on the supply chain and mass transportation.
  3. The March cover story of the award-winning Security Management magazine, titled “In a Pandemic, Preparation Hinges on Prevention”.
  4. And let’s not forget ASIS Connects, your #1 resource for real-time information sharing with thousands of your ASIS member peers around the globe. With the launch of the new ASIS Mobile Engagement app, this community is always at your fingertips. Search ‘ASIS International’ in the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Beyond these online resources, ASIS live events connect you with your peers face-to-face—enabling you to grow your professional network and learn from colleagues from around the globe. But we understand that, when faced with the developing COVID-19 situation, these in-person gatherings and international travel carry an element of risk.

In keeping with our business continuity and crisis communications plans, ASIS continues to assess all of our live meetings, including chapter and regional events, ASIS Europe 2020, the Global ASIS Women in Security Summit, CSO Summit, and Global Security Exchange (GSX) 2020 this September.

To that end, we wanted to inform you that we have decided to postpone the ASIS Europe 2020 conference and CSO Summit due to COVID-19 concerns. We are proactively communicating with event registrants to make sure that their needs are met through this unfortunate but necessary process.

We will continue to assess all upcoming events. This is a situation that changes day to day, sometimes hour to hour. We will strive to keep you informed of future developments.

ASIS International’s policy in all things is “satisfaction guaranteed, or we will make it right.” Please register with confidence for any ASIS event you are interested in attending. Your safety is our top priority, and we are committed to making the right decision for our speakers, attendees, and other stakeholders. If you register for an event that you cannot attend due to COVID-19, rest assured, we have you covered.

Additionally, all Headquarters and Brussels-based staff will be performing their roles remotely through 10 June at the minimum. We will maintain our normal operating hours (Monday – Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm ET) as we remain committed to serving our global community of security professionals.

You demonstrate calm, capable leadership every day—especially during times of trouble. ASIS is no different. We are here to support you 24/7/365. Please reach out to us if you need anything at all, and we will do our best to support you.

Stay healthy, and continue to check www.asisonline.org for updates related to COVID-19 support.
