Comprehensive and easy to understand, Internet of Things, for Things, and by Things is a wide-ranging book that covers the subject logically and thoroughly. It describes the present and potential uses of the Internet of Things (IoT), offering examples of different applications, together with pictures, moving through the entire scope of possible usage—from smart pills to smart homes to smart cities.

Author Abhik Chaudhuri explores the benefits as well as possible dangers of misuse of this emerging technology. He also addresses the important topic of privacy, as well as the tightrope act between privacy and security. The author explains the responsibilities that individual users of IoT must understand. IoT architecture, regulations, and ethical considerations are also discussed in depth.

Three appendices look at various frameworks, standards, and global initiatives. Each chapter closes with a section of suggested readings for more on the subject. Internet of Things, for Things, and by Things should have a fixed place on the bookshelf of anyone using this technology. While new issues will arise, they will build on the basics explained in the book.
