Scholarship and Grant Opportunities

The Foundation offers a broad range of scholarships for professional certification and higher education. Following is a detailed list of available grants and scholarships.

No more than one certification scholarship will be awarded to an applicant each year. However, applicants may reapply for a scholarship the following year.

Scholarships for Certification

To apply for one of these ASIS Certification scholarships, please complete the Certification scholarship application. You will then automatically be considered for the scholarships that best fit your situation.

ASIS Foundation Certification Scholarships
  • 25 Scholarships
  • Choice of CPP, APP, PSP, or PCI online review course
  • Includes certification exam fees for choice of CPP, PCI, PSP, or APP
  • Open to ASIS members in good standing
Law Enforcement Liaison Certification Scholarships
  • 2 Scholarships for active-duty law enforcement
  • Choice of CPP, APP, PSP, or PCI online review course
  • Covers certification exam fees for choice of CPP, PCI, PSP, or APP
  • Open to ASIS members in good standing
  • Administered in partnership with the ASIS Law Enforcement Liaison Community

Global Military and Veterans Certification Scholarships

  • 4 scholarships for active-duty, reserve, and National Guard military members
  • Choice of CPP, APP, PSP, or PCI online review course
  • Covers certification exam fees for choice of CPP, PCI, PSP, or APP
  • Open to ASIS members in good standing
  • Administered in partnership with the ASIS Military and Veterans Community
Noggle Fund Scholarship
  • Supports members in good standing of the North Texas ASIS chapter pursuing ASIS certification
  • Honors the memory of former North Texas chapter chair, Dennis A. Noggle

To apply for an IFPO Certification scholarship, please complete the IFPO-ASIS Foundation Certification Scholarship application.

Scholarships for Senior Security Executives

About the IE Business School Program

Designed in conjunction with ASIS international, this education program helps security professionals refine their business acumen. Over four and a half days, participants develop key interdisciplinary competencies to supplement their technical expertise. Experienced business and educational professors/lecturers lead by an expert/skilled CPP senior security professional guides participants through the security challenges that permeate the modern market and equip them with the necessary tools to overcome them.

Apply for an IE Scholarship

The ASIS Foundation is excited to announce our scholarship program for security executives to attend the 2024 Effective Management for Security Professionals executive education program at the prestigious IE Business School in Madrid, Spain. 

Application deadline: 19 February 2024

Applicants must be ASIS members in good standing and must be senior security executives such as CSOs and other SSEs (Senior Security Executives). Applications will be reviewed by a committee of volunteers from the ASIS Foundation Board. If selected, you must apply for admission to the executive program and be accepted by the IE Business School in order to attend.  

The IE Business school is donating one full-tuition scholarship (valued at 4,950 euros) for their 2024 program. The scholarship covers the course in English, held 24-28 June 2024 (arriving 23 and leaving 29). Scholarship recipients must be able to travel to Spain to attend the program in person on the designated dates and must be able to pay their own travel and accommodation expenses. Please note: if you are selected for a scholarship but are unable to attend, then the scholarship will be awarded to another applicant. 

Please note: current members of the ASIS Global Board, Foundation Board, or CSO Board are not eligible for this scholarship. 

Scholarships for Higher Education

To be considered for one of these scholarships, please complete the Academic application. You will then automatically be considered for the correct scholarship based on your chapter membership.

Abbaticola Fund Scholarship
  • Academic support to members in good standing of the Central New Jersey ASIS chapter, or their children pursuing careers in security management or related field
  • May be used for security-related study at an accredited institution of higher education
  • Honors the memory of Central NJ chapter member Nicholas G. Abbaticola
Buckley Fund Scholarship
  • Academic support to members in good standing of chapters in Region 1C (Northern  California and Northern Nevada) pursuing studies in security management or related field
  • May be used for security-related study at an accredited institution of higher education
  • Honors the memory of John L. “Jack” Buckley, 6th president of ASIS, 1960-61
Manning Fund Scholarship
  • Academic support to members in good standing of the Boston or New England chapters, or their family members pursuing careers in security management
  • May be used for security-related study at an accredited institution of higher education
  • Honors the memory of Boston chapter member John P. Manning

Grants for Chapters and Organizations

Public-Private Partnership Excellence Grant in honor of Matthew Simeone
(application period:
4 March - 30 April)
  • Recognizes an active P3 program that makes communities safer
  • One $4,000 grant to a full-service law enforcement agency
  • Nominations accepted from ASIS members and chapters
  • Administered with support from the Law Enforcement Liaison Community (LELC)
