ASIS International Opens Registration and Housing for its 60th Annual Seminar and Exhibits (ASIS 2014)

2014 Call for Presentations open through February 10

Alexandria, Va. 2014-01-30

Registration and housing are now open for the ASIS International (ASIS) 60th Annual Seminar and Exhibits (ASIS 2014).  More than 20,000 global security professionals from both the traditional and information security disciplines are anticipated to attend this year’s event, which will take place Sept. 29-Oct. 2, 2014 at the Georgia World Congress Center, in Atlanta, Ga. Once again, the (ISC)2 Security Congress will be colocated with the Annual Seminar and Exhibits. (ISC)2 is the largest not-for-profit membership body of certified information security professionals worldwide.

Building on the positive response from attendees of both organizations in recent years, ASIS and (ISC)2 will collaborate to optimize expertise and leverage synergies to provide traditional and information security professionals with the knowledge, technology, and networking opportunities they need to excel in their careers now and in the future and secure the scope of their organization’s assets.

There are four easy ways to register for ASIS 2014: online, by telephone, by fax, or by mail. Security professionals have the option to choose between three registration options, including: full registration; single day registration; and exhibits only registration. The best value, a full registration offers full access to education sessions, the exhibit floor, and social networking events throughout the four day conference event. A single day registration provides an attendee access to the day’s education programming and social networking, as well as the exhibit floor. Attendees interested in visiting the exhibit floor only, may register for a four day pass, which includes admittance to the keynote addresses on Tuesday, Sept. 30 and Wednesday, Oct. 1.

Additionally, special registration for students is also available. Tickets may also be purchased separately for networking lunches, including the annual Law Enforcement and Military Appreciation Day luncheon. On Oct. 1, all active military, law enforcement, and first responders (fire, EMS and EMT personnel) are invited to attend Wednesday's keynote presentation sessions, and the Exhibits at no charge.

Registrants of both ASIS 2014 and Security Congress will gain access to each event’s education sessions, as well as the exhibit hall, and networking events. Both organizations also will offer review courses for their respective certifications, as well as separate members-only activities.

ASIS is pleased to offer attendees a variety of hotels for every taste and budget. A map of the hotel locations, accommodation descriptions, rates, etc. can be viewed on the housing bureau website. Wyndam Jade, the official ASIS Housing Bureau, is now accepting reservations online and by telephone. When booking hotel rooms through the ASIS Housing Bureau, attendees will also receive a FREE shuttle bus pass ($50 value) for transportation between the Seminar hotels and the Georgia World Congress Center. The headquarters hotels are the Marriott Marquis and the Atlanta Hilton.

Security practitioners interested in presenting an educational session may submit a proposal online for consideration. Deadline: February 10, 2014.

Companies interested in reaching key decision-makers—should contact Ron Bates at +1.703.706.8230 to contract booth space.
