News Release

ASIS International to Honor Military, Law Enforcement, and EMTs at ASIS 2013

Complimentary One-Day Registration ($550 Value) on September 26

Alexandria, Va. 2013-07-18

ASIS will again honor military and law enforcement professionals during the ASIS International 59th Annual Seminar and Exhibits, and this year is welcoming emergency medical technicians (EMTs).  All active duty law enforcement, military personnel, and EMTs may register for a complimentary one-day admission on Thursday, September 26, which is designated Law Enforcement/Military Appreciation Day.

ASIS 2013, which will take place September 24–27 at McCormick Place in Chicago, is the world’s most influential security event. More than 20,000 security professionals from both the public and private sectors will convene at ASIS 2013 to secure timely and valuable industry information, make connections, and explore the technology solutions available.

Active law enforcement, military, and EMTs are granted free admission to all of the day’s educational programs, including a keynote presentation by The Honorable John Winston Howard, 25th Prime Minister of Australia 1996–2007.  Also on the agenda that day are dozens of education sessions and tracks on topics such as homeland security, cyber security, government/military, terrorism, and disaster response to events such as Hurricane Sandy and the Boston bombings.

The one-day registration includes access to the exhibit hall showcasing cutting-edge security solutions from more than 700 companies as well as free presentations in the Solutions Theater, poster sessions, and Tech Trends—non-vendor specific 30-minute presentations.

These honored guests will also be able to network with peers from around the globe, meet individuals who have successfully transitioned from the public to the private sector, and take advantage of career-related services in the Career Pavilion including how-to sessions on transitioning into the private sector.

To take advantage of this special offer, military, law enforcement, and EMTs should register on-site at ASIS Registration in McCormick Place with an official government or military photo ID. For complete Seminar and Exhibits information or to register for the full event, visit
