ASIS International Selects 2010 Accolades Winners

Alexandria, Va 2010-09-28
Program Recognizes Security's Most Innovative Products, Services and Solutions

ASIS International, the preeminent organization for security professionals worldwide, has selected its 2010 ASIS Accolades winners. ASIS Accolades is an awards competition that recognizes the security industry's most innovative new products, services, and/or solutions.

ASIS invited exhibitors at the ASIS International 56th Annual Seminar and Exhibits to submit new technology, product, or service solutions for evaluation and judging for the annual Accolades competition. The winners will be recognized at ASIS 2010, the security industry's leading event, held Oct. 12-15 at the Dallas Convention Center in Dallas, Texas.

A team of judges representing end users and experts in security technologies evaluated more than 70 entries before selecting the top 10 winners. ASIS Accolades are solutions oriented, not product specific.

"This year's program was very competitive, as entrants continue to push the envelope in their respective disciplines," observed Accolades Co-Chair Ron Lander, CPP. "In particular, video surveillance performance is advancing at a rapid pace, offering enhanced analytics functionality and better resolution."

Co-Chair Howard Belfor, CPP, noted, "The continued blending of emerging technologies into readily available products and services is striking. The ubiquity of network and IP centric solutions in security is more evident than before."

Accolades entrants have been invited to display their entrees in a special area on the Exhibits floor (Booth #4219, Hall F) and winners will be highlighted, along with other new products during the Seminar's "What's New on the Floor" session, on Tuesday, Oct. 12 at 1:45 p.m. in Ballroom C4.
