Capt. Richard Phillips, who became the center of an extraordinary international drama when he was captured in April by Somali pirates, will meet with journalists covering the ASIS International 55th Annual Seminar and Exhibits at noon on Monday, Sept. 21. The 15-minute question-and-answer period, to be held in Room 304D of the Anaheim Convention Center, will immediately follow Capt. Phillips’s keynote address to the CSO Roundtable.

Capt. Phillips was in charge of the Maersk Alabama, the first U.S.-flagged ship to be hijacked in more than 200 years. His keynote address, to be held from 11 a.m. to noon on Monday, Sept. 21, is invitation only.
The CSO Roundtable is an ASIS International invitation-only group of top security executives from the world’s largest companies. It will be holding its own track of educational sessions in Anaheim for senior security professionals.
