ASIS International Announces 2008 Professional Certification Board

ASIS International, the preeminent organization for security management professionals worldwide, is pleased to announce the 2008 Professional Certification Board (PCB). This group is dedicated to the oversight of ASIS’s three internationally accredited professional designations: the Certified Protection Professional (CPP), the Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) and Physical Security Professional (PSP).

The CPP designation is the security industry’s highest recognition of its practitioners. This designation is earned by individuals who have demonstrated expertise in security management principles, concepts, technology and best practices.
The PCI is awarded to security practitioners who have demonstrated knowledge and experience in case management, evidence collection and preparation of reports and testimony to substantiate findings. 
The PSP is awarded to practitioners who have demonstrated knowledge and experience in threat assessment and risk analysis; integrated physical security systems; and the appropriate identification, implementation and ongoing evaluation of security measures.
