Travellers are confronted with substantial security checks at airports, such as taking of coats, belts, shoes, taking out laptops, mobiles, liquids and gels, resulting in long waiting times.
For the airport this means high cost and income loss (less shopping time) and for the airlines unhappy passengers and possible delays.
The industry - airlines, airports and solution providers – are working on a new concept called ‘Smart Security’, which should strengthen security, increase operational efficiency and improve passenger experience.
The presentation will focus on the outline of the concept and the role of governments, airport operators and private security companies.
