Karan Chawla leads Regional Security Operations Centre in Bangalore for Fidelity Investments. In his current role, Mr. Chawla is responsible for coordinating the delivery of life safety monitoring, asset protection, and crisis management services to a Fidelity Investment’s office space in India, Japan, China and Hong Kong. During his seven - year tenure with Fidelity, Mr. Chawla has been associated with Business Continuity, Physical Security and ERM programme. Prior to joining Fidelity, Mr. Chawla spent 10 years in the Merchant Navy as Navigating Officer in shipping division of ‘Chevron’ and ‘Shell’ where he was involved in implementation of Behaviour Based Safety programme and International Ship and Port Security code. Mr. Chawla received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nautical Science from the BITS PILANI. He is a Certified Business Continuity Professional, awarded Claritas Investment Certificate from CFA , member of the Business Continuity Institute and Asia Crisis and Security Group.
