Crash Rated, Crash Tested, Active and Passive Vehicle barriers are Crash Tested in accordance with ASTM F2656 Standard in the United States.  As a design or specification authority, it iRoss logo Tech_PS_ME16.jpgs important to understand the differences in the rating levels of these Standards when making decisions on what systems to employ to protect high value assets.  As a High Value Asset Facility Owner, it is as important to understand the differences in rating levels to be able to perform threat analysis evaluations to determine the level of protection that is currently protecting facilities.


Scott Espensen, Manager - Barrier Products,  Ross Technology Corporation, USA

Scott Espensen has worked at Ross Technology for over 20 years. His responsibilities as Perimeter Security Product Manager for the past decade have included the oversight of new product development, product testing, sales, project management and fulfillment. With a strong background in controls technology for the United States Air Force, he has been very active in creating and sourcing advanced control systems for Ross Perimeter Security products. He has also managed the successful development and testing of a number of new anti-ram vehicle barrier designs. Mr Espensen’ s international experience includes overseeing numerous security projects in the Middle East.
