Improving Chemical Security Through Vulnerability Risk Assessement

​Risk analysis and risk mitigation incorporate all team works all methodogies adopted to play together under one scheme aiming at eliminating failure, shut down, loss and properties damages. While addressing these crucial issues that gurantee the continuity of operations and production in safe of work place and providing a free risk environment, we should recognize that the target require the consolidation all the parties concerned working the field of security, occupational health and security. The API/NPRA SVA process is a system that combines the multiple skills and knowledge of several participants to provide a comprehensive and wide range security analysis of the operation facility. The system is concedring the type and size of the operation facility, the SVA team may include individuals with knowledge of physical and technical secuity, cyber security, process safety, facility and process design, operations, logistics, emergency response, human resource management, and other disciplines.

Abdullah Joory Al Zahrani ,Industrial Security Manager atZahraini.jpg (National Petrochemical Industrial Company- Natpet with responsibility for Industrial Security Manager in the National Petrochemical Industrial Company (NATPET) producing polypropylene 400 t/ year from construction to the operation stage. The main responsibility is to provide a high quality safety and fire advisory, management services within the company to ensure statutory requirements are complied with, and working practices and attitudes ensure a safe working environment at all times. Plan and manage Department activities such as plant EHSS performance of both (UOP Oleflex PDH) Propane dehydrogenation plant 400 KMTA and Polypropylene plant (Basell spheripol PP) 400 KMTA.

My Job is to restructure Safety, Environment, Fire and Security department employees to improve companywide performance including new initiative of PSM implementation in the company. In addition, to improve company Emergency Response Plan.  Provide and approve new downstream projects SVA (Security vulnerability assessment) requirements.  Plan and prepare yearly budget.

Having more than 30 years of working experiences in the Industry and Petrochemical Industries in the Kingdom has showing a strong will commitment and enthusiasm in the careers.  The career path has been progressing from the being the Operation Foreman to Production Supervisor in Sabic company. In addition, I worked as safety Instructor. During the years, an extensive Supervisory and Management Training Courses along with the Safety Career Training courses, has been attended. Also assigned as Natpet’s Gulf Petrochemical and Chemical committee member – GPCA responsible care. Actively participate and contribute in the health, safety, fire and security fraternity here in Kingdom and Middle East Region.  A research on work permit had been accepted and recognized by Higher Commission for Industrial Security under the Supervision of the Ministry of Interior in Jeddah 2003. I have international Diploma in Safety management. In addition, technical diploma from Cleveland technical institute UK.
